Digital surveillance

Digital surveillance is a very basic, but at the same time one of the most effective means of improving property security in both private buildings and public spaces. It can also be easily used to supervise industrial processes or monitor employee work time. The Sileman.Monitoring service is targeted at entities responsible for public safety, such as municipal police, as well as for all companies and organisations that need a reliable solution letting them remotely see what is going on.

As one of the first companies in Poland, we have successfully deployed surveillance systems using IP cameras. Employing these flexible systems, we are able to use digital cameras that provide exceptionally good video quality. As an additional benefit, IP-based systems do not have any intrinsic limitations concerning the number of surveillance centers or distances between the centers and  cameras.

Our comprehensive service includes design, complete deployment and maintenance of the whole video surveillance system.

Possible benefits:

  • Improving safety of persons staying within cameras’ field of view
  • Improving safety in city parks, industrial properties, shopping centers or public institutions
  • Reducing theft and damage to property through prevention
  • Monitoring traffic hubs
  • Monitoring employees and industrial processes
  • Optimizing employment – less watchmen and janitors needed

How does it work?

IP video surveillance is a entirely digital technology for relaying video signals that uses either LAN or  WAN-class computer network, and very often the Internet itself. The recorded signal is transmitted to surveillance centers through an IP network built using fiber optic cables or professional microwave radio links. It is then recorded on storage mediums, sized and scaled in the way that allows the records to be kept for desired number of days. To protect against hardware failures, the storage system is usually configured with a redundancy scheme. Naturally, only authorized persons can access the recorded material.

By using the IP network, the surveillance system can stream video from cameras as well as from the storage system to any part of the world. Reception is possible via  web browser or with dedicated software.
